The fortress baths played an important role in everyday life. Come and see the remains of the baths brought back to life through their state of the art audio and visual displays or play their touch screen games and watch their movies to learn how Caerleon's Roman residents used this multipurpose complex.
See hundreds of Roman objects at the museum including the oldest recorded piece of writing in Wales and and dazzling gemstone collection. Whilst you are there, don't forget to ask the staff about the programme of exciting events. Don't miss the sights, smells and sounds of the museum's beautiful garden.
Get a glimpse of the mighty fortress wall that surround Caerleon. Guards kept watch from tall turrets, now long gone.
Roman's took part in military parades and watching animal hunts and bloody brutal battles in this amphitheater with a capacity of 6,000.
Up to 8 men shared a pair of rooms in these cramped barracks blocks, one for sleeping and one for storing their kit. Look out for the circular ovens and communal toilets, both nearby!
