The RSPB has over 1,300 employees, 18,000 volunteers and more than 1.2 million members (including 195,000 youth members), making it the largest wildlife conservation charity in Europe. The RSPB has many local groups and maintains more than 200 nature reserves. Inspiring everyone to give nature a home. They are a member of BirdLife International, a partnership of conservation organisations working towards giving nature a home around the world.

My local RSPB nature reserve is in Newport, Wales. They have a number of animals living in these reserves.

They have loads of competions you can enter, they give out special mentions, runner ups and winners. These competions are super fun!!!

They have loads of events and projects throughout the year, from family fun days to guided walks to explore and check out the wildlife around the UK. They give advice on how to protect and help the animals in your area. They are having a big bird box build for half term, which will be running from 25th Febuary - 1st March 2019. This event is 10:30am -12pm and then 2pm - 3:30pm. There is a fee however, it is definitely worth it as you will be giving back to the animals. The fee is £6.40 for members or £8.00 for non members also booking is not required.

They have a number of quotes from different people. In their wildbeat magazine that was published in January of this year, they talk about stargazing and they have a quote from Jack Plumb who is the editor of this magazine and a few small paragraphs from a wildlife vet named Katharina Seilern - Moy. They have loads of bird watching opportunities, they have some wellbeing tips to help with looking after yourself this year.

They inform you of how to properly clean bird feeders and bird baths...

You will need:

- Rubber gloves

- A brush

- A bucket

- Detergent (such as washing - liquid) or disinfectant

- Warm water

They talk you through it step by step. Remeber to keep your cleaning supplies for bird feeders and bird baths away from all other cleaning supplies. Always clean bird feeders outside, don't bring any equipment for this in your kitchen, and make sure you wash your hands well when you have finished.

They have ways of make you feel better in the winter by getting out and about etc etc. They have a map of migration for a number of birds, climate change and loads more.

They are trying to save the (Native to the Uk) Red Squirrels as they are decreasing in numbers due to the invasive grey squirrels that.

The RSPB have campaigns and petitions on a number of things, they have lots of statistics, they also have a website located at the end of the post. Please help the RSPB, by joining them for only £4 a month. Please, please help do your part to potentially save the wildlife in your area which could in turn spark a chain reaction to others and we could end up saving the animals all around the world. Afterall they need us and we need them!!!
