Castell Coch

Castell Coch is Wales' Fairy-tale Castle. A luxurious 'medieval' getaway that was actually built in the 1870s Castell Coch is charming contradictory and full of character.

Castell Coch is built on the foundations of a thirteenth century castle. The third marquees of Bute, one of Britain's richest men, built Castell Coch using money made from the industrial growth of South Wales.

Doctor Who, Merlin, Tracy Beacker and The Worst Witch have all been filmed at Castell Coch.
