Challenges the LGBTQ+ community face

LGBTQ+ community members are the same as straight people and deserve the same respect and rights as straight people. It is disgusting that we still have to fight for our human rights.

I am bisexual and I have experiened abuse first hand. I have been called "greedy" and "indecicive" etc,like my sexuality is a choice. LikeI have a said before who we love is not a choice or a phase!!! It is not fair that we have to come out as a member of this community, maybe heterosexual people should have to come out also so that there is equality...

Homosexuals have been killed on numerous accounts, one rememberable account is theattack that happened Orlando Florida. In 2016, a gunman opened fire at a gay night club in Orlando Florida, leaving at least 49 individuals deceased and injuring dozens more before being shot dead by police. This attack left everyone in shock and on edge. This attack wasn't the first attack on the LGBTQ+ community and I doubt it will be the last as every year at Pride heterosexuals shout abuse at us as we celebrate who we are and our community. There is a song that was produced for the victims and families of those victims called "we Stand United"

To any religious individuals I don't mean to offend you or your religion/ beliefs when I say this next part and I'm really sorry if it comes across that way...You say God loves us all and made us in his/her image however, the comments that some of you are making to us contradicts that belief. If God loves us all and made us in their image then surely he loveseveryone despite their Race, Gender or Sexuality. If they didn't why would they create us the way we are... This my opinion and I am open to a discussion.

Marrige is the joining of two indivduals in a bond that putatively lasts until death. So why are are still fighting for gay marriage in some countries? Marriage isn't just for heterosexuals it is for EVERYONE!!! It is however, important to celebrate how far we have come to support the LGBTQ+ community but the fight isn't over until everything is equal.

The individuals in the LGBTQ+ community are often the targets of hate crimesand violence. In 2015 nearly 1 in 5 hate crimes commited in the USA were due to sexual orientation an further 2% of crimes were due to gender identity. There has been a surge in violent crimes against transgender individuals, particularly transgender women of colour in recent years.These facts are HORRENDOUS!!!

Only some places have enshrined in the lawthat the right of homosexual couples to parent together. This personally makes my blood boil, what gives the government the right to take away this priviledge to homosexual couples. The answer is nothing, as long as long as there children in need of adoption and there are fully capable couples or individuals willing to adopt, care and nurture these children, there should NOT be an issue as it is a win win situation. the children have a loving family and the couples or individuals have children...

In the vast majority of states, children can still be enrolled into "gay conversion therapy" this is a harmful practise for the children's mental health. In most states homosexuals and transgender individuals can be fired from their jobs regardless of job preformance or ability, just on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This causes many individuals to stay in the closet, hiding who they are in order to earn a living...

Members of the LGBTQ+community can legally be denied housing based on their identities in 28 states in USA.

Children who are homosexuals or transgender have the same rights as everyone else, so why are we fighting for them to use the public restrooms (schools etc) that suits their identity not the gender people percieve them to be.

All over the world LGBTQ+ individuals have a hard time being accepted into peer groups. All discrimination, fear and hate results in physical, mental and emotional harm!!!

LOVE IS LOVE!!!!

WE HAVE TO FIGHT FOR JUSTICE!!!!
