Choose your own carer or Personal Assistant

My Care My Home provides a Choose your own Carer/ Personal Assistant service which would enable you to receive a tailored service within your home; an individual dedicated to you, carrying out the tasks you need when you need them.

The cost is similar to using a care agency and the service can range from 10 hours per week to 24 hour live-in care. Choosing your own Carer/ Personal Assistant can be daunting so we can manage each stage of the process for you, allowing you to live independently, regardless of whether you receive direct payments or are self-funding.

How can they help?

This is about you, firstly you'll have a conversation to establish your requirements and get a better understanding of you as a person.

What do you want your assistant to do?

They'll match your needs with individuals' skill sets and experience e.g delivering personal care, ability to drive and travel,hours of work, ability to prepare food, administer medication.

Advertising

They can advertise through multiple channels or help you consult with your local resources.

Short-listing and interviewing

They can measure how candidates preform against the criteria you set. They can facilitate interviews, suggest questions, record answers and meditate your choice. They can consider personality types and cultural/religious alignment too.

Job offers and DBS checks

If the individual accepts the role they can verify that they are who they've stated and run DBS checks. They can itemise your mutual obligations in a legally binding document and contact other interviewees to inform them that their part in the process has ended.

Performance and quality

They can ensure that the work of the individual meets the standards agreed in the contract.
