DIAL A RIDE

Dial a ride is a door to door taxi service for all age groups with mobility problems which makes using public transport difficult. They have several vehicles all with wheelchair access and low steps which can take you to the destination of your choice such as:

- Shopping trips

- Visiting friends or relatives

- Attending the dentist or hairdresser

- Going to work or attending educational classes

- Holiday transfers e.g to Tenby or Minehead

If you require a helper you can bring a carer or family member for support.

GROUP TRAVEL

This service is designed for groups of up to 15 passengers to travel locally or on longer journeys to your choice of destination. E.g To Weston-Super-Mare.

All of their vehicles are staffed by qualified drivers and have facilities for easy wheelchair access.

They hold information for various places of interest to visit and be pleased to provide advice and costs for journeys you may be thinking of taking.

Transport is available on a " First come, first served" basis and is available Monday to Saturdays. Sundays, evenings and bank holiday transport may be possible by special arrangement.

They are a charitable organisation founded in 1985 to provide services for the disabled, elderly and those with mobility limitations.

SHOPMOBILITY

Also located at 32 Gwent Square is shopmobility selling a wide range of useful aids to assist people with mobility problems.

The shop incorporates daily and long term wheelchair hire. They have a selection of electric scooters and walking aids fr hire at a minimal cost.

The shop is open 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff will be glad to assist with any enquiries.
